ABOUT R. KEith clise, md

My interest in mycology began during my undergraduate years with a few personal experiences with psilocybin mushrooms during a time of intense personal exploration, which necessarily ceased during my medical training and practice years and dedication to activities more supportive of fatherhood, family life, and medical practice.

Unfortunately, due to disability and unforeseen circumstances, my life became one of isolation and loneliness. Looking for a new hobby that fit my changing lifestyle, coming up on 10 years ago, I purchased a mushroom grow kit, successfully grew a few flushes and my interest in all aspects of mycology (the study of fungi) began in earnest. Ultimately, I've found culturing and cultivation of edible mushrooms to be most fulfilling.

Prior to making my first delivery, I invested time in study and training with various growers around the country, and wish to thank Willy at FungiAlly (Maine), and Andrew, Jackie, and Samantha at Mossy Creek Mushrooms (Tennessee). All my customers will benefit from mushrooms grown locally from cultures developed in Tennessee!
